One advantage of this strategy not discussed by most experts is that it will have a greater impact on possibly raising your credit score since it will show more diversify in your credit portfolio. A large amount of credit card debt, particularly if it is disproportionate to your other debt could cause a reduction in your credit score.
Your next option is a home equity loan. This loan may offer a lower interest rate and the interest might be tax deductible which two of this option’s strongest selling points.
